Under 11 match report from Richard Bruton, Great Kingshill CC:
In this ADML final between the winners of the North Division (Long Marston) playing the winners of the South Division (Gt Kingshill) played at Bledlow Village CC, GK continued their form and outplayed LM in this final match of the season. GK were able to field a full strength team and proved too strong for LM.
LM batted first and lost a wicket in the first over to the accurate Ethan Andrews. After the first pair had batted 4 overs the score was 203. Enter Nick Lane (1 wkt) and Zach Godfrey (2 wkts) score after 8 overs was 204. Seb Lane and Connor Thomas (3 wkts) continued the accurate bowling and LM were down to 199 after 12 overs. Callum Mapley and Jake Graham took 1 wkt each score after 16 overs 207. The impressive bowling continued with the last pairing of Alex Prothero (2 wkts) and Elliot Wills keeping the score down to a net 207 after 20 overs and with Joe Thomas putting in a great display of wicket-keeping this really showed the all round potential of this group of players. For Long Marston only Fraser Ellis was able to withstand the accurate bowling scoring 18 in the 17 balls he faced without losing his wicket.
All GK had to do now was to bat sensibly and the game was theirs, this they did in a professional performance only losing 3 wkts in their 20 overs. Joe and Zach set the tone scoring 33 in their 4 overs, Connor and Ethan moved the score on to 252 after 8 overs, twins Seb and Nick increased this to 272 after 12 overs, Elliot and Jake to 303 after 16. The final pairing Callum, who lost a wkt in his first over and Alex increased the total to a net 324 with Alex feeling confident enough to respond to the request of his cheering team mates to play the Dilshan scoop and reverse sweep in the last over of the innings.

Under 15 match report from Cublington CC:
A grey, threatening evening at Aylesbury CC for the under 15 ADL play-off final. Long Marston won the toss, inserted us and proceeded to bowl steadily if unspectacularly through our innings. Will Simmonds went early, frustrated by excess width from the opening bowler and when Charlie Rider got bowled by a short ball liftling little more than ankle height, we knew we were in a game. Jenkins and Orchard then took a 'no risk' approach to accumulating runs and with singles turned down, progress was slow. Once Orchard accelerated it changed the tempo of the game and a fine cameo from James Barker and Greg's 42* saw us to a modest total of 109. James Chiddention and Ben Latimer bowled tidily without threatening and the opening LM pair got half way to the total before a run out slowed progress. All our bowlers bowled tightly and fielding was keen and sharp. Having only lost 3 wickets Long Marston needed 7 off the last over to win and Ben Orchard stepped up to bowl at the death. Keeping his head and with a spread field Ben was the hero of the hour as with accuracy he restricted Long Marston to 3 runs off the first 5 balls. needing 4 to win off the last ball Ben Latimer managed a direct hit run out and the game was ours, only minutes before the heavens opened. Well done lads! A just reward for a fine season's work, although the margin of victory in this match was too close for the comfort of the manager and supporting parents! Long Marston could consider themselves slightly unlucky, but put up a brave fight. Thanks must go to Aylesbury for hosting the match and Peter Alexander for scoring.
